Nokia Lumia 920 vs. BlackBerry Z10 Specs review, price and features Comparison – Windows Phone 8 vs. BB 10 smartphone OS

The top slots in the smartphone segment have been monopolized by Apple and Samsung products. However of late there has been a spate of other manufacturers who have been aggressively pushing their products to get a share in the burgeoning smartphone market. The new entrants to the smartphone market are Nokia Lumia 920, BlackBerry Z10, Droid DNA, and Nexus 4. Today we will concentrate on two new entrants into the smartphone segment, the BlackBerry Z10 and the Nokia Lumia 920.
The BlackBerry Z10 happens to be the first handset from RIM to feature the touchscreen. The BlackBerry Z10 has a 4.2 inch LCD display. The screen is larger than the iPhone 5 but is smaller than the Androidphones like the Galaxy S3 and the Nexus 4. The screen has a resolution of 768 X 1280 pixels and a density of 350 ppi which is more than most of its competitors.
Nokia Lumia 920
The BlackBerry Z10 features a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 225 GPU. The device boasts an internal storage of 16 GB. However it has a microSD card slot and the storage can be easily augmented to 64 GB.
Other features of the BlackBerry Z10 include a primary rear camera with a resolution of 8 Megapixels. It can shoot 1080p video and so also a front facing camera which is useful for video chatting. The BlackBerry Z10 does away with the QWERTY keyboard. However RIM will be launching a QWERTY keyboard enabled smartphone BlackBerry Q10 in the coming months.
Lumia 920
The Nokia Lumia 920 is a Windows Phone 8 device and is one of the most regal and good looking smartphones ever made. The Lumia 920 features a 4.5 inch IPS display and boasts a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels and a density of 330 ppi, which is less than the BlackBerry Z10 screen.
The Lumia 920 is also powered by a dual-core Krait processor by Qualcomm clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 225 GPU.
What sets the Lumia 920 apart from its compatriots is its 8.7 Megapixel PureView rear facing camera. The Lumia 920 also features a front facing video chat camera which is compatible with Skype and other apps which are featured on the Windows Phone market place. The Lumia 920 also features a huge 32 GB On Board Flash Storage which enables the user to store huge numbers of both pictures and videos on the device.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is available for $99.99 with contract with AT&T while the BlackBerry Z10 is available with a $199.99 price tag. The unlocked Lumia 920 is available with a price tag of $700 while the BB Z10 is available for $750.
In conclusion the fight is fairly balanced with the BB Z10 scoring with its better screen resolution while the Nokia Lumia 920 is a clear winner with its incredible camera. The Nokia Lumia 920 is available in a wide range of bright colors while the BB Z10 is available in Black and White colors.
